I don't think I could have chosen a more important and wonderful book to start 2019 with. I am still reading (and listening in Audible) to this book but I really want to share it with you. I know how powerful it is to find joy and happiness in the world around us and how we can use this to fuel every thing we do.

Ingrid Fetell Lee's book "Joyful : The Surprising Power of Ordinary Things to Create Extraordinary Happiness" is a wonderful guide to help you to find the joy. There are ten chapters covering topics like Freedom, Play and Surprise and the book ends with a Joyful Toolkit, which helps you to really understand what brings you joy (if these things do not bring lasting joy, for example eating too much chocolate, then you need to put a negative sign next to them), how to keep a joy journal and how you can use this understanding and the things and aesthetics of joy to bring more happiness into your life.

I think this is a book that I will be reading and listening to at least twice.

Ingrid Fetell Lee has an inspiring Instagram and blog too. She also has a Ted Talk, which is a great place to start.

If you wonder how/why I rest a read and listen to books at the same time, it really helps me to get through lots more books but without just listening to them. I seriously love books, so I can't just listen to them, I want to feel and see them too. So I mix up reading and listening, especially for non-fiction books.
