Repurpose old content

You may be juggling all the things right now that you cannot work out how to create any content to share on top of everything else. Or you may be unable to leave the house and are unable to go out and take the images you would usually take. Or you are staying safe and home, and are able to go for a local walk but there's nothing in your local area that fits with the content that you want to share.

I am pretty sure that we all have a good reason to repurpose old content right now!

I have started working on this by searching for April on my photos on my phone and finding all the images from past Aprils. I have had a lovely trip down memory lane, which has lifted my spirits and I've been able to share some old photos of my children with them, and we've had some lovely fun with that. But I have also favourited all the ones that I can use now. Some of them I have shared in the past but so many I haven't. I bet you have so many images that you've not shared.

In May I will repeat this process! I am also trying to have a good clear out of images while I do this too. Life is often going by so fast that even though I have every intention to clear out the images I don't need each week, it's so easy for days and weeks...and then months and years to go by without having time to do this. So, searching for old content can also involved having a good clear out too. Win-win!

In the same way as your images, why not take a look at old blog content and see if you can republish or write something really similar. People forget what they have read in the past, they also might just love hearing it again. Remember also that you will have new followers since the last time you shared it. So, definitely dig through your old stuff and see what you can use again.

I know that during this time I have had many days when I've felt my head is so full of everything else, that I cannot even begin to think of any ideas of things to share with other people. Looking through old content helps me to start thinking of new ideas. Once you start to unlock ideas, more always follow. Write down your ideas and work on them when you can. It might not always be when you want to but time will appear, and having a list ready will help you to do the right thing during this time.

Happy re-purposing! xo
