Self-care looks different for everyone. Spend some time thinking about what helps you to feel good. I have been aware of the importance of looking after myself for many years now but it's only relatively recently that I have recognised that there are things that don't seem like obvious self-care that really make me feel better. Things like making sure the kitchen is tidy before I go to bed, so that my days start with a smile when I come downstairs in the morning. Or planning my outfits for the week on a Sunday, so that there are no morning panics.
For me these things are just as important as getting enough sleep and exercising regularly.
You might be surprised about some of the things that go onto your self-care list. Add to it as you realise what helps you to feel good.
